The OEM has been awarded three Manufacturing Leadership awards.
The awards were announced in a press release and Lexmark said that this was the “fifth consecutive year” that they had been awarded the “maximum number of awards from the Manufacturing Leadership Council”.
The company was honoured to receive these awards that “recognise companies and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing”. The award for Collaborative Innovation Leadership was for the OEMs project, Visual Process Management, which has enabled the company to improve the customisation of printers for their customers in North America improving delivery, cutting costs and improving quality.
Lexmark was recognised for IoT in Manufacturing Leadership for its Predictive Service which is an “operational analytics engine that leverages predictive algorithms and models on device alerts and deep sensor data” which enabled the company to use “big data” to introduce new aptitudes online so that customers can automatically “initiate service requests”.
The last of the awards was for Supply Chain Leadership and Lexmark’s Finished Goods Pull Replenishment was recognised for meeting customer demands by “changing the production planning process for printers built by a contract manufacturer in Asia”.
