CIT launches OKI chips

Mar 31, 2017

The company has launched multi-region chips for use in some of the OEM’s printers.

In an email sent to customers, the company stated that the “the OKI MC853 and MC873 series [of MFPs] are surely one of OKI’s most popular high-end MFPs in [the] field with a surprising high installed base all over East and West-Europe”. It added that “these machines make a great low cost per page for MPS specialists”, and that it was “proud to announce” the new chips.

The multi-region chips are “groundbreaking”, according to CIT, and are designed for use in the toner and drum units, with a “top line of toner” available from CIT as well, alongside an OPC and wiper blade to “follow soon”. The CMYK chips are available in two different yields – the first with yields of 7,000 pages in black and 7,300 pages in colours, and the second with yields of 15,000 pages in black and 10,000 pages in colours.
