TNCore advises on chip changes

Apr 3, 2017

The chip manufacturer has launched an OEM reset solution for some chips, and discussed a Samsung chip issue.

The company stated that there is a “shortage in supply” of the MS and MX310 series of aftermarket chips for use in Sindoh, Dell and Konica Minolta machines, and added that “as a countermeasure for this, TNCore propose[s to you] an OEM reset solution”, which utilises its i-PROG chip resetter. The resetter “supports genuine reset[ting] of many other brands and is in use by many customers already”, with the company adding that “your business will be safer” with the solution.

In turn, it discussed recent findings that compatible chips for the Samsung CLT-404 machine are “not recognised that [are] manufactured after February 2017”, with TNCore “preparing the updated chip to solve this problem”. The manufacturer also noted that “considering previous Samsung firmware update[s]”, the 404 series of printers manufactured and launched since February this year “may also have [the] same problems”.

On this note, it pointed out that the machines affected would include the 404, 118, 201, 403, 503, 704, 804 and 806.
