A parcel containing cartridges was delivered by the Royal Mail, but ended up in the customers toilet.
Esquire reported that a postman trying to deliver a parcel safely saw an open window, and slipped the package through it – however, the window was directly above the loo, and that’s where the parcel ended up. Realising his error the postman wrote on the red delivery note: “Put through window. I’m really sorry I think your parcel might have fallen in the toilet accidentally”.
Sam Cooke, the recipient of the Royal Mail note, came home to find his ink cartridges floating in the toilet bowl and took photos of both the note and the cartridges in the toilet, captioning them and posting them on Twitter with “Well this happened today”. After tweeting the story and photos, Cooke;s tweet has been shared 7,600 times. The Royal Mail have since apologised, and been in touch with Cooke.
