The owner and Managing Director of Lasercare (Anglia) Ltd. has retired.

Alan Castro, owner and Managing Director at Lasercare (Anglia) Ltd, retired at the end of April after 20 years of running the remanufacturing business.

Alan joined the remanufacturing industry in 1997 having identified a niche in the local market and quickly established Lasercare Anglia on the former Bentwaters Airbase in the UK’s East Anglia region and over 20 years has successfully built a solid business supplying remanufactured products across the area.

The new owner is Martin Englefield who has a business providing new and second-hand refurbished printers, parts and cartridges. Englefield commented: “I have known and worked with Alan for the last 20 years and Lasercare Anglia fits in well with our existing business.”

Alan, who celebrates his 70th birthday later this year, will remain active in the firm as a consultant for several more months assisting the new owner to take over the business.

The Recycler caught up with Alan and Martin at the end of April, and you can read the interview in the next issue of The Recycler.
