The office supplier has confirmed it is closing a store in Galesburg in Illinois USA.
The Laser Online reported that Staples had recently sold off its building in the town and now it is closing its store. This was confirmed by a Staples spokeswoman through email correspondence who said the store will close 8 July this year and that this was the fault of “online shopping”.
According to the report the stores in Davenport and Burlington Iowa will remain open but nothing was said about the employees at Galesburg.
