The company is set to cut 177 jobs in Webster USA after deciding to move its business into a “former department store”.
Democratandchronicle.com reported that Xerox informed its workforce that “some supply chain operations and a warehouse facility will be eliminated over the next year” and that the job cuts will begin in September this year to be fompleted in March 2018.
Bill McKee, a Xerox spokesman, said in an email: “As part of Xerox’s strategic transformation, we continue to review our operations to improve efficiency and flexibility. This sometimes results in restructuring activities that affect all parts of the company, including warehouse operations in Webster.” He added that no job cuts or closures were imminent yet.
