The German online cartridge reseller HQ Patronen has been taken over by the German IT reseller Cyberport.
Channel Partner reported that the acquisition of HQ Patronen will strengthen the office imaging supplies offering of Cyberport and therefore compliment the already existing offering of IT products and therefore enable the whole company growth.
HQ-Patronen GmbH was started in 2006 and specialises in Europe-wide distribution of toner, ink and office supplies. The company is headquartered in Seevetal and in 2013 opened a fully equipped logistic centre in Hamburg Hafencity.
Speaking to Channel Partner Aliz Tepfenhart, Chairman of Cyberport said “We are looking forward to the intensive collaboration with HQ cartridges, both in the customer and in the product area. With the purchase, Cyberport gets an even bigger footprint in the market and can at the same time play its strength in service and consulting.”
HQ Patronen’s Managing Director, Benjamin Maurer, told Channel Partner: “With Cyberport, we have a strong partner who ideally complements our distribution channels around Omnichannel Services and enables us to continuously expand our customer base. We are delighted that Cyberport has been able to inspire us with a company which explicitly focuses on customer requirements and quality As well as service, as we see it, as the top priority.”
HQ Patronen GmbH will be working as an independent subsidiary of Cyberport and Benjamin Maurer and Stefan Siebenberg will continue to run it.
The takeover is subject to approval by the German cartel authorities.
