Brother released their financial statement for the first quarter period, which ended on 30 June 2017.
In the consolidated results Brother is showing total revenue of ¥167,728 million ($1,524 million/ €1,282 million) in the first quarter of the financial year 2018 which is up 6.5 percent on the same period in the previous financial year.
The operating profit is down 40.3 percent compared to the previous corresponding period.
The printing segment from Brother reported total revenues of ¥98,800 million ($897 million/ €755 million) with an operating profit of ¥9,144 million ($83 million/ €69 million). This is down 49 percent compared to the previous corresponding period.
The forecast for the full year results shows that Brother predicts overall a 4.4 percent decrease in the printing business segment operating profit but an overall 5.7 percent increase in operating profits for the whole business.
