In the latest news from the Dubai-based remanufacturer, GIT announced they had been ISO certified, passing the stage 2 audit.
Since it was first established in Dubai in 1999, The Recycler has reported numerous times on the fortunes and development of German Imaging Technologies (GIT), covering business awards, the launch of its new website, the opening of its new East African subsidiary, and its expansion, among other company news.
Although it has not always been smooth sailing for the Dubai-based toner cartridge producer, with CEO Sassan Dieter Khatib Shahidi telling The National that GIT had faced near-bankruptcy in 2000, in recent years GIT has burgeoned and developed an ambitious expansion programme in the Middle East and Africa.
Now, in the company’s most recent development, Shahidi announced via professional social media site LinkedIn that GIT was certified ISO 14001:2015 by the TUV of Germany, after passing its Stage 2 audit.
Possible benefits to the company of achieving this certification include a reduction in waste, an improvement in resource efficiency, increased trust from both customers and stakeholders, an overall improvement in environmental impact, and increased business opportunities, among others.
