German Imaging Technologies, a Dubai-based printing document solutions provider, revealed its achievements and progress toward sustainable development goals.
The company’s latest press release reveals that GIT has “reported on its achievements and progress towards the UN Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on gender equality (SDG5), promoting sustained economic growth (SDG8) and ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns (SDG12).”
Over the course of the last 12 months, GIT has created 23 new job roles and has promoted gender equality, with 35 percent of its overall workforce and 40% of its senior management team being female.
In terms of its environmental commitments, in September this year GIT revealed that it had been awarded its ISO140001 certification; the company had recycled 8,160kg of waste, and had also contributed toward the saving of 122, 000kg of solid waste and 500, 000kg of CO2.
