Epson’s Australian subsidiary has rolled out its new Expression Premium Photo range of all-in-one printers.

This week Epson Australia announced the release of new printers in the Expression Premium Photo range, building on the success of its popular all-in-one printers. The new models are the XP-6000, XP-8500 and the XP-15000.

Compact and stylishly designed, these printers combine printing, scanning and copy facilities in one device, making them ideal for home use. They also offer a range of mobile printing options, allowing consumers to produce “glossy photos and crisp clear documents” from almost anywhere.

The XP-6000 offers a new compact design, faster speeds of 15.8 ppm (black) and 11.3 ppm (colour), CD/DVD printing, auto 2-sided printing, wireless Wi-Fi Direct, AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, a 2.4” LCD screen, a 100 sheet input first tray and 20 sheet input second tray and a 50-sheet output capacity.

The XP-8500 offers all that the XP-6000 does with a 2.7” LCD screen and now also offers a 6-colour printing solution – suitable for home premium photo printing. With speeds of 9.5 ppm (black) and 9 ppm (colour) and a yield of 500 (black) and 830 (colour) with XL sizes the XP-8500 is described by Epson Australia as “a serious player in this market.”

The XP-15000 will be launched in December 2018.

All printers in the Expression Premium Photo Range utilise Clara Premium Inks, which help to produce “outstanding, glossy photos with sharp detail, deep blacks and rich, vibrant colours.” The XP-6000’s five inks and XP-8500’s 6 inks can be individually replaced as and when a particular colour runs out, making it economical.

The Expression Premium Photo models’ connectivity features include Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, which makes it possible to print without a wireless network. There’s also the free downloadable apps that form Epson Connect, and users can opt to print and scan wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet around the home using the free iPrint app.

When you are out and about, Epson Email Print lets users email documents and photos directly to the printer from almost anywhere in the world. You can also use the free Creative Print app to print photos directly from Facebook, create custom greeting cards, turn photos into colouring book templates, and more.
